You are qualified if you
  • Have extensive knowledge of manufacturing and process improvement experience, preferably in the personal or home care product industry._Can apply your experience to helping a rapidly growing company improve their operations and be ready for continued market expansion._Enjoy sharing your knowledge in the area of operational strategy and efficiency._Can volunteer approximately 5 days (40 hours) between November and March to be a remote business advisor._Harbor passion for business and/or creating jobs in economically fragile El Salvador.

Project Work 2-4 hours per week for between 8 and 16 weeks (32 hours total)
What you will be doing Consult remotely for a women-led family-owned Salvadoran business that manufactures ethnic Salvadoran food currently sold in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the U.S. Products include refried beans, ready to serve rice with meat or shrimp, pickled vegetables, frozen fruit, frozen tamales, and frozen vegetables.

  • Have extensive knowledge of U.S. retail food sector, including sales and distribution within the industry._Can apply your experience to helping a business develop a roadmap for entry into U.S. supermarkets._Enjoy sharing your knowledge of best practices in negotiation specific to the U.S. supermarket sector._Can volunteer approximately 5 days (40 hours) between November and February to be a remote business advisor._Harbor passion for business and/or creating jobs in economically fragile El Salvador.

This popsicle and ice cream manufacturer has established a strong presence in El Salvador and neighboring Central American countries. Additionally, a small portion of their sales are to small U.S. based Latin American food stores catering to the nostalgic market.

What you will be doing Have fun, gain satisfaction by working with another Skillanthropist to create a "G-File" for one of our new Fast Runners. Each G-File is a dynamic PowerPoint of hard and soft data that includes the Fast Runner’s business history, value proposition, org chart, financial overview, client/customer makeup, products, etc.
