Under the leadership of Iliana Benitez, Vertex Studio—an innovative Salvadoran company specializing in virtual and mixed reality for gaming and e-learning—embarked on an ambitious journey of growth and international expansion. To successfully navigate this growth, Iliana sought Bpeace’s expertise.
With the support of Skillanthropist Joseph Howse, a software developer specializing in computer vision, Vertex Studio refined its business goals and crafted a strategy to enhance its e-learning platform. Together, they explored new sales and monetization channels, optimized pricing, and redefined the company's branding and design, positioning Vertex Studio for entry into the global market.
Iliana reflects on the experience, saying, “Joe has become the kind of coach I aspire to be for my own team. The coaching skills I’ve gained are essential for guiding our company toward sustainable growth.”
In addition to the business strategy work, Vertex Studio participated in a Talent Management workshop with Bpeace to strengthen their recruitment, training, and staff retention efforts—critical components of their expansion strategy. “Finding skilled talent in El Salvador can be a challenge,” Iliana shared. “After completing the workshop, we hired our first HR manager. This led to securing larger projects, increasing salaries, and offering year-end bonuses and private health insurance—progress directly tied to what we learned through Bpeace.”
By the end of the program, Iliana acknowledged that Bpeace had provided the business skills and coaching necessary to run her company more efficiently and with less stress. “I now feel more confident asking questions in meetings, even on unfamiliar topics,” she said.
In recognition of her leadership and remarkable achievements, Iliana Benitez was honored with the 2024 Entrepreneur Award from the Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales (ASI). This prestigious award not only celebrates her personal growth but also underscores the profound impact of Bpeace’s support on Vertex Studio’s success.
