Share practical best practices for presenting a supplier pitch to large corporations and government buyers.
Join Bpeace as a volunteer for Supplier Excellence, a six-month business growth and supplier readiness program for established U.S.-based professional services firms preparing to compete for corporate opportunities.
The first Supplier Excellence Deep Dive will be structured as a Baseline Supplier Pitch Event rather than a traditional workshop. Each of the 12 Fast Runners will present its current supplier pitch, creating a starting point for feedback, Success Plans, and progress throughout the program.
As the closing speaker for the Baseline Supplier Pitch Event, you will draw on your corporate experience to help participants understand how large organizations assess potential suppliers, what builds confidence, and what may prevent a business from moving forward. After listening to the pitches, you will deliver a short, practical session highlighting best practices, common gaps, and the factors that influence whether a corporation chooses to engage a supplier. This is a focused speaking opportunity rather than an individual coaching or written-review assignment.
Participating companies typically generate at least $300,000 in annual revenue, employ three or more full-time employees, and are committed to strengthening their capabilities for larger and more sustainable opportunities.
As a Bpeace Pitch Best Practices Speaker, you will:
● Participate in a short planning call with Bpeace to review the audience, event format, and desired learning outcomes.
● Attend the virtual pitch presentations and listen for recurring strengths, challenges, and opportunities across the cohort.
● Deliver a 20- to 30-minute practical presentation or facilitated debrief after the pitches, followed by approximately 10-15 minutes of questions and discussion.
● Explain how strong supplier pitches are adapted for corporate procurement, business-unit leaders, and government audiences.
● Share useful examples, common mistakes, and a simple checklist participants can apply as they refine their pitches during the program.
● Complete a brief feedback form after the session to help Bpeace and the Fast Runner track participants progress and identify follow-up opportunities.
Your session will turn the pitch event into a practical learning experience and give every participant a clear framework for improving over the following months.
Suggested Presentation Content
The outline below is a suggested starting point. Bpeace and the speaker will refine the emphasis during the planning call based on the final event format and participant needs.
- What large buyers need to understand quickly: relevance, business value, credibility, delivery confidence, and fit.
- How corporate and government audiences differ, including procurement processes, compliance expectations, risk sensitivity, and decision-making context.
- How to lead with the buyer's problem and desired outcome rather than a long description of the company.
- How to use evidence, client results, team experience, certifications, and delivery processes to reduce buyer uncertainty.
- How to communicate differentiation without relying on generic claims such as quality, service, or experience.
- How to manage time, demonstrate executive presence, answer questions directly, close with a clear next step, and avoid common pitch mistakes.
