POSITION OVERVIEW

The Development Operations Associate is responsible for providing outstanding support for Bpeace’s Chief Growth Officer (CGO), and empowering Bpeace team members with the information and tools they need to effectively share the Bpeace story with potential funders and partners and use data and systems to effectively steward opportunities and relationships. This person will partner with the CGO to ensure funder and partner pipelines are established and progressing regularly through strategy meetings, prospect research, donor relations, and development operations. This position will also provide support to Bpeace Leadership Team and Board as needed with their partnership and fundraising outreach.

As a Development Operations Associate, you will:

Operations:

  • Manage and continuously refine the internal systems required for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to support the management and tracking of partnership and funder activities.
  • Support portfolio management strategy in Salesforce through the creation and refinement of fundraising dashboards.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support for partnership and funder activities in Salesforce when necessary.
  • Manage gift processing and acknowledgment, assuring quality and accurate data management.
  • Execute the annual appeal strategy and support the Bpeace team and Board with annual appeal outreach.
  • Assist with the coordination of donor and stakeholder events, dinners, and gatherings.
  • Support for additional operational priorities and special projects on a rolling basis with training provided as needed.

Donor Research and Data Analysis:

  • Identify potential corporations and other institutions for employee engagement.
  • Identify corporations and foundations that match the Bpeace mission.
  • Develop, oversee and implement a system for ongoing prospect research that’s integrated with cultivation meetings.
  • Manage related development systems such as Salesforce, GiveLively, and donor prospect research tools as needed.
  • Analyze giving and engagement trends of current and former members/donors/partners.
  • Assist in the analysis of the effectiveness of Bpeace resource development programs.

Communications:

  • Prepare impact reports for skills-based volunteers, both individuals and institutions, ensuring compliance with Bpeace standards and liaising with the Marketing and Communications Director as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of orientation materials for the diverse needs of skills-based volunteers.
  • Draft donor, volunteer, and partner communications on your behalf and on behalf of the CGO and other Bpeace staff and Board.
  • Update donor and partner content on Bpeace.org.
  • Ensure Bpeace information on sites such as GreatNonprofits and Guidestar is up to date and accurate.
  • Generate reports and insights for different audiences and help track progress to goals and inform strategy.
  • Assist with coordinating, and at times updating, website and social media as they relate to the development and partnership efforts.

Donor Relations:

  • Represent Bpeace through scheduling meetings, fielding inquiries and other interactions with members, skills-based volunteers and prospective and current donors.
  • Assist with surveys of skills-based volunteers to capture insights about their experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of nonprofit development experience, in a wide-ranging role at a small or growing nonprofit or specialized experience at a larger non-profit.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience leveraging Salesforce’s donor management and CRM capabilities.
  • Experience writing and formatting donor communications and materials for a variety of audiences, e.g., PPTs, newsletters, and emails.
  • Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

REMOTE WORK TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

With headquarters based in the U.S., Bpeace is a remote organization, no office is provided. The majority of your day is spent utilizing a computer and technology to communicate with Bpeace staff, partners, businesses, and volunteers.

Applicants must have a computer and operating system that supports high-speed use of Salesforce, full work-day access to a high-speed, stable Internet connection, and a functioning web camera.
