Kate Buggeln helps individuals and companies grow. As a retail and consumer-focused business leader she has a 20+ year track record of establishing new businesses and growing mature ones, working with internationally known industry leaders, medium sized and start-up companies. Today Kate consults with executive teams to strategize and achieve business growth and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Dress Barn Inc (DBRN), Noble Biomaterials, Stuart Weitzman, Vitamin Shoppe (VSI). Prior board positions include Spire and Circles Inc..
In 2001 to 2004, as SVP of Strategy and Business Development at Coach, the fashion accessories company, and in 2005 as a consultant, Kate worked with the executive team and board to maximize and guide franchise momentum, driving organic and new growth opportunities. Earlier Kate was President of Boo.com, during its U.S. re-launch. As a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand, LakeWest Group, and Melville Corp, Kate worked with industry leading companies such as Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys New York, CVS Pharmacy, Sesame Street, Gucci, J. Crew and L.L. Bean, among other notables. Kate began her career at Bloomingdales Department Stores.
Kate has been featured in publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The International Herald Tribune and The London Times, and has appeared on radio and television programs including those on CNN, CBS Nightly News and The BBC. Kate has been a guest speaker on the nature of leadership at U.S. corporations and the business schools of Columbia, Fordham, and Harvard Universities as well as MIT. She holds a B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
